Yep, stripped and hand sanded up to 2000. I'd like to hit it with a wheel and some rouge. I have a derelict clothes dryer in the garage that the wife gave me permission to gut for a motor. Going to try and build a buffer out of that.
I talked to mysta2 about it, and he recommended I try it one season without clearcoating or anything. He leaves his raw and just buffs it whenever the evil oxide nations invade.
I'm debating leaving the knee dents with a brushed look to break it up a bit. I think brushed may rust faster though.
I haven't heard from anyone that has successfully cleared over polished steel, but if you're out there, let me know what you did!
