Xs750 896cc engine rebuild and chop!


And the tranny side is almost done, missing the large clip retaining the damper assembly.
Will hopefully be in the mail next week.
Starting to polish the ports on the head and gapping piston rings. This sucker may go in the frame soon. Unreal.
 
Kinda.. got the pistons and cylinders installed today with the help of my dear lady. Sometimes her small fingers does the trick..

 
Electrolyte polished these old header pipes at work today, turns out chrome polishes out great. Now just a light buffing, then they go on!
 
I'm digging the bike and your work on it. You know...you're going to have to have the right riding attire for this ride.....flip flops, cutoff shorts and a wife beater will give off the wrong vibe.....just sayin....you'll need something crazier. ;)

Think I'll be donning the skintight sandwash jean shorts and not much else.. :D maybe a bandana and some raybans.. gay 80's beach dude would fit this i think..

Was really lucky with the pipes that came in the pile of parts, they stacked up like this, dont know if its aftermarket or factory..
 
Havent really decided yet, i wanna ride it first i think, for now they're indenpendent, but making a collective chamber inside won't be difficult. Just kinda wanna hear the soundtrack of the thing before any irreversible changes! :)
 
About the rider matching the bike..
