treitz said:An adjustable 1 into 3 throttle cable I believe. Assuming this guy is still around, I might just grab this kit. It's $312 and comes with everything: http://www.spec2.com/xscarbs.html

treitz said:Ha I've just been burned by these MKII's enough times now that the idea of working with 3 brand new VM34's is so appealing. And the idea of working with another set of those bastards is much less appealing. Although if one could get them for under $100, it would be worth it to at least give it a shot.
Tune-A-Fish said:I hear ya... a clean bench synced set could sell like hotcakes in spring. I can always zone out on carbs with a Budweiser and tunes for $100 an hour
treitz said:Ya, its been raining since Sept here. Old girl is under a tarp next to my house. Didn't score that 1100 carb rack, or any of the triumph racks. so I'm leaning towards biting the billet and going with the spec 2 VM's.
Unless something else shows up on eBay. Just haven't really been looking.

Figured I will pass it on to a fellow DTTer and live vicariously through them. If they won't work sorry.

EDIT: I am not sure the size carbs you need so if these 34's are to small I apologize.

I would think they fit, not the same as mine, they were from a Legend, but i think they share the same engine?
Mine are keihins, these are mikuni?
Yes, i think its the way to go, newer more available carbs + cheaper. Whats not to like?
Plus it just runs so much smoother and better than my last one with worn old carbs.
955 is probably closer in jetting than the legend, i went from 90 mains to 140. needle one notch up then it was all good.treitz said:I'll probably place a bid on the last day. See if I can get them for a good price. It looks like that bike is a 955, so they'd likely need rejetted. Hopefully those jets are easier to come by than the old ones.
