Yamaha XS750 -77 Budget build.

Looking good! Did you paint the inside of your rotors to match the final drive case, or did it come like that?

Very Cool. I went another direction with my Triple. Less than $1200 US in the entire bike and build. That includes the VMAX Controls and Harley Davidson Seat.

What is that, more like bobber style? I Bought mine for 250$ but are now up to about 1000$ in build cost. But I aint ready yet. Budget says 2500$ at least.

It's what the parts made it to be. It's a true parts bike. Just built with what I had accumulated over years. It needed to accommodate a passenger and be fun to ride too.

Check out my TurboMax build. Similar concept with turbocharged engine

Short update, the pictures may do the talk.

What do mean by "died"? What happened?

I was riding it and the engine just died while breaking into a roundabout. Tried to start and it only clicked from the starter engine, turned around and tried to start it downhill, when i released the clutch it just locked the rear wheel. When I got back into the garage after one hell of a workout (pushing 220kg bike one km) I tried the kick and it is rock hard so I guess some bearing seized...

Back in business!

Hello!

It been a while since I wrote or did anything for that matter.

Now I've started to tear apart the engine gradually to see what has happened. I dismantled the flywheel, primary chain and it was still not moving an inch. So I dismantled the left side and removed the ignition system and when the cover came loose it fell out a ring and an axle for the starter motor. Then I tried to turn the engine and it loosened as if it never been stuck and before I it didn't move, nor by rolling it in gear or kick it. now everything works lika a charm. What may have been wrong?

I noticed the crankshaft is a bit blueish is it normal or has it seized from heat?

See here on the picture.
