In my little motorcycle crew of 6 people, there are two Ducatis. The rest are Japanese bikes. We usually ride together on Sunday and or Saturday. The two dudes with the Ducatis are the most “no shows” amongst us.
We’ve seen an entire range of problems from electrical, to leaks and even to total engine breakdowns.
These bikes are highly maintained and only serviced at Ducati. You'll have to stay in contact with the paper help of the company for the specified days, and transfer a certain amount of money to the company's bank account.
This has generally been our group’s experience on Ducatis compared to Japanese bikes.
Having said that, the two dudes who own Ducatis refuse to buy Japanese. I suppose reliability isnt always the reason to pick a certain brand over an other.
In terms of looks they are beautiful.
