Question for you gents, asI haven't been able to track down any threads on this precise issue. I would like to replace my battery in the CB350 twin. I have a "wet" battery in there right now, the stock recommended battery. I want to use a sealed maintenance-free battery, for some (hopefully)...
Here's the 1.5" http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-custom-motorcycle-exhaust-parts-round-chrome-clamp-80-62340.html
and the 1.75"...
I'm going to do the slits and tighten 'er down to the header pipe. It looks like the header pipe is about a 1.5" and the muffler about 1 5/8". Considering the disparity in clamping sizes on these clamps, do you all think I will need a 1.5" clamp or a 1.75" clamp? Both available through DCC...
Ronnie:
Yeah that's what I thought. My question was really that (as the pics above show) I don't see any slots. I know I can cut to make slots/flanges so it all squeezes down, but it sounded like Mike and Rich thought the slots were already present on the pipe and I don't see any. So is the...
Thanks Rich. Hope all is well with you also. I'm still unsure of these slots. Would they be behind the baffle in the pics above? Guess I'm just not sure how they work. I'll probably grab a 1.5" clamp and use a beer can or muffler bandage to mitigate any leaks.
Been good Mike. Even better after today as my parents came across state to visit me and brought a pint of HDS chili. Missing the old BC. Thanks for your response on this. Not sure what you mean by slotted. I was thinking I might have to cut to make flanges or something. Here's what I'm...
Hey all:
finally have an opportunity to get working on the bike again with this warmer weather. Got some slip on emgo shorty mufflers from DCC (the cheaper ones/not reverse cone or slash cut) for my cb350. I'm looking for some tips on fitting them. I have seen some people weld them up, which...
Just checked and unfortunately I have some obligations all day (at least until 3) and cannot make it. But I am interested in making a deal on one of those pans if the price is right. Would either of them work on a '72 twin and what would you be looking to get. You can PM me if you want to...
Ha sure doesn't sound like I would miss you. I'm wondering if you'll have certain hours. Otherwise, you're close enough, maybe you could PM me what you've got honda-parts wise. I'm in the market for a CB350 seat pan. Can be in pretty crappy shape, just need the pan. Got one?
Is this as in the Williams Grove just outside Carlisle in Central PA? If so, what times will you be there and how do we track you down? I might be interested in the honda parts depending on what you've got.
