A very cool picture of my Uncle Jack

It was a crappy old photo in an album of my mother's. My daughter got all of the family photos and is digitizing them. I grabbed this one and handed it off to a friend with a very high resolution scanner. He enhanced it as best he could and added the brown hue. He gave me a print. You're...

A very cool picture of my Uncle Jack

Jack Hayes (Gunner Hayes) was my mother's eldest brother. He was born some time around 1925, the first of 13 children. His father (my grandfather) served in the trenches of The Great War as a machine gunner. Jack served in the Navy for 30 years, having signed on during WWII. He rose to the rank...

    Seat length for 2up riding?

Good idea on the two seats. Seeing what you bought, I think it the only viable compromise.

    Seat length for 2up riding?

Ditto, Morgan Carbtune Pro. I've been using mine for a few years. It suits me fine.

    Simple XS

I believe your bike to be a 1981 XS650SH. I can't be 100% on that from here, but it sure looks like it. I say that because I believe the 1980 had slightly different ignition components. If you're staying stock ignition, the 1981 through 1983 are all the same. Also, that 16 inch drum brake...

Post a pic of your motorcycle as it sits

I have plenty of junk to choose from for my winter project. I'm getting started. Snail pace, but started.

Post a pic of your latest purchase

Those triples are nice, but I don't think they bring much money. Can you cheaply make it look like this?
