I'm having timing or leak problems with the head. The carby keeps back firing when revving and when I give it some throttle it just decelerates.
Does anyone have any pictures of their timing at TDC so i can check it with mine?
Also not sure if it is the inlet valve leaking :/
Thanks, yeah those pics don't include half of the resto either!
I had the front drum brake machined so the pads seated better. It was fairly horrible because it had been sitting for over a year. Stops almost as good a my disk brake bike now.
Mate this thing looks awesome! It makes me want to pull the head of mind and change the piston and drill the oil feed. It would compliment my tm33 perfectly!
Just an update on my progress.
The seat I got from ebay my friend!

Also did a test fit of all the parts. This is before I...

I thought she was seized as the bikes been sitting for about an year and a half, but she turns over by hand when you roll the stator, I also dropped some oil down on to the piston to lube it up and for a smokey start! :o
Does anyone have the torque specifications on the head bolts? Also any...
A few electronic parts have arrived. I just have to wire in the starter solenoid and see if she kicks over. Not before a once over though. I also have to source a few bolts that aren't fitting correctly around the engine casing.
How awesome are the 12 gauge igniters for shock to caps! And that speedo has potential.
By the way cosworth what ignition coil are you using? I need one and I'm not sure what to get
Thanks for the help! Though I am in Australia ;) so postage would be astronomical! I will try and source stuff locally...hopefully.
This is my first adventure into modifying motorcycles too. Any tips for a motorcycle noob?
