I've had the 1000 almost 9 years and nearly 80000km on it,and the 650 I've had for nearly 9 months and really lovin it,just as much fun as the 1000 especially through the twisties,the 650 has a sv1000 front end on it and the 1000 has a gsxr1000 front end and Elka rear shock and Ohlins stearing...

Hello again,just a couple of updates ,I have since fitted Hagon shocks and replaced the 630 chain and sprockets for a 530 set up. Cheers.

gday mate ,the speedo is an after market generic brand by MCS,it is cable driven and has all the warning lights(i'll get around to wiring it up one day) I also have a rev counter too and looks so much neater than the Z1 originals not to mention a whole lot lighter.Cheers Ken.

not sure about the weight saving,most probably a cost saving thing,why tool up for different parts when one will do the job of two.

I forgot to mention there was hours of polishing and cleaning too. 8)
