I'm installing a set of mikuni carbs on my CB360 project. Will I need a different throttle housing for the single pull cable? I hooked it up to my stock housing but it doesn't seem to snap back like it should. It will "work" like it is but it doesn't seem right.

So my buddy calls this evening and says he is coming over. He pulls up with this gem straight out 1981. (Last tag date) he said he liked what I was doing with mine so he was going to do one similar. I'm not real sure how anyone rode the thing as far forward as the seat put you. Engine looks...
Too bad you dont still have the NOS engine. It would be worth a small fortune! My first Willys was a 52 M38 that was owned by the city of Texarkana. I always figured it came from the Red River Depot originally. I grew up south of Magnolia, AR and was only an hour from Texarkana.

After nearly a year in the corner of the shop I drug the bike out a few weeks ago. Frame hoop is in and the fender is chopped . Let me know what you think.
I've popped the bottom case off and replaced the kickstart shaft. Getting close to putting it back in and seeing how well it runs...
Yea it's a no go on trying it with the kickstarter on the bench. Glad I tried it though. When I went to tap the kick lever off the shaft the whole shaft came out[emoji35] the snap ring must not have been in the groove completely. Bad news is I get to split the case again. The positive I...
I got the bottom case buttoned up last night and the engine is currently sitting on the bench with the side covers still off. Can I use the kick start and get a compression reading or does it need to go all back together to do this?
76 CB360.

I found a video yesterday on a cb350 that showed me enough. Pretty simple deal really. I removed the oil filter and clutch to make things easier.

After a long hiatus I tore back into my CB360 project. I pulled the bottom case to replace the kickstart shaft and I'm in the shop now ready to go back together. I've never been into a motorcycle case before. I have hondabond. Do I put a thin layer on both sides before I put it together...
No major updates. I did do a light polish on the fork lowers and got the forks rebuilt. After I put the forks back on I just had to put the wheel and old seat on just to get a feel for it.

It was a lot of fun to build and is fun to ride around the pasture and backroads. If you do one of these right, it is very expensive. The problem is most of these have been rode hard and put up wet for 70 years and everything on them is worn out.
Here is my 48 build thread...
I got this nice orange tank in today! It has a couple of dents but is much nicer than the one I had. I got my tires mounted up and new shocks installed. I'm going to wait until my seat comes in before I cut any tabs or make a rear hoop. I ended up ordering the 24.5" low profile seat from...
I am in need of the hinge pieces, pin, and latch that bolt to the seat on a CB360.
Also, I might be in the market for a fuel tank. Mine is salvageable but will need completely stripped and repainted. If anyone has a really nice tank with good paint that could be used as is, I would be interested.
I got my old tires off this evening. The plan for now is to clean these up as good as I can and run them for a bit too see how interested I get into this project. I cleaned up the rust inside and much as I could, will these be ok to run?
Also, I haven't tried cleaning the hubs up, are they...
Hammer impact did the trick on both. Another question.
It appears someone swapped a fork tube at some point. One is slightly different than the other. The older one has some slight pitting that didn't polish off with a scotch brite pad. Will this destroy my new fork seal?

My kickstart shaft was broken and after one unsuccessful attempt at a good one on Ebay later, I found this little NOS jewel. It might be dumb but I get a kick out of opening NOS parts. The best ones for me were surplus Willys parts that had been packed cosmoline and foil paper back in the 50s...
