    Well, after a ridiculous amount of reading and research, I was able to figure out what my tail lights needed. So it needs 2 lights, and the brake needs to be grounded separately as the switch IS the ground wire. The original lights are still manufactured, but I have to order them from Germany...

    More info. I decided to test my theory with my multimeter. I had one prong on the coil and another on the brake switch wire. I press the brake and success. So I just need a housing designed for this now.

    They are still pretty big down here in cali. Granted, mine is still the odd guy, not many of the old trucks left I'm afraid. I love her though. Here are some pics: She's a little rough around the edges but she's a runner. I've rebuilt or replaced the entire driveline.

    So my bike is near ready to go aside from this issue with the brake lights. I have studied the schematics and traced what I could and here is what I have gleaned. The lights for the brakes seem to come directly from the coil. The coil also supplies power to a front cluster through a second wire...
