    Any experience with induction heating?

I've been really curious about this. I've seen plenty of videos showing how fast and effective they are for heating up steel. I'd love to have something like that for heating up steel in the shop versus using my oxy/acetylene torch. The tech just isn't in my realm of expertise. So I'm clueless...

    Any thoughts on CNC machines?

Man lots of great advice in here. This is exactly what I was hoping to hear. ideally I hope I can do this under $5000. I’m going to look into the tormachs and Bridgeport’s, based off of the general consensus here.

    Any thoughts on CNC machines?

I’m at a point now with my builds that I’d really like to start tinkering around with CNC machined parts. Mainly building custom triple clamps, instrument clusters, and other random one-off parts. I have plenty of experience with 3D modeling and CAD, so I know this will give me a little bit of a...

    Heaviest bikes with monoshocks?

Fixin to start a new project bike for myself soon. I like doing monoshock conversions, and this bike is gonna be a heavy one. I’m just wondering what big bikes out there have monoshocks that I could potentially buy a used shock off of. Biggest one I can think of is the GL1800 goldwing. But I’d...

FS: my 1989 Honda GB500 TT Tourist Trophy

I've been considering it. My reserve was set at $4,000. But I wasn't really sure what it'd go for in its current condition. I may try again. But I'm also considering taking the time to fully restore it and then attempt to sell it again for more.

    My 76 Goldwing Bobber

Oh this thing runs strong and hard. I love it. The iDF 40 carbs were an amazing addition to power. I'm running a Dyna S electronic ignition on it. I highly recommend it.

FS: my 1989 Honda GB500 TT Tourist Trophy

Just posted on ebay now. You can see some of the work I did on this site. I'd also consider a trade for a BMW 650GS. http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/302474483987

    My 76 Goldwing Bobber

Makin progress. Made front brackets, and rigged up a removable sort of bracket in the rear of the tanks that keeps the tanks together at the rear. The front brackets are held in by a clevis pin/bolt. The whole concept is that if I were to break down on the side of the road and I need to get...

    My 76 Goldwing Bobber

Working on a facelift this weekend. A few months ago I snatched up a set of the same old harley split tanks I had already setup on this bike. They were brand new ones, bare metal. Once I'm finished re-fabricating the bottoms of them, I'll sand and polish the metal, then just seal with a clear...

    1975 CB750 - Charging problem

Going through the standard procedures, one of the checks I did was on the 3 yellow wires going to/from the generator to the rectifier. According the manual (IIRC) it should ready less than .2 ohms. I made sure the battery was disconnected for this test. Assuming I did this correctly, and that...

Got the seat back from the upholsterer! He did an awesome job, especially considering how thick the cow hide was.

All turns, tail/brake, brake switches and kill switch are all wired up and routed now. That was the last of it. So now I'm just waiting on the leather seat upholstery to get finished and I'll call it done for the year.

Do these floats look buoyant enough to you?

That actually makes a lot of sense. There were a couple of things you mentioned that I hadn't considered before, and now that you have it's explained a few things about how they're supposed to work. Still waiting on the new float pivot pins to arrive. When they do I'll make some more adjustments...
