Haven't had much time to work on the project with the holidays but I did knock out a little bit today. More polishing: Bought myself a soda blaster for christmas and blasted the engine cases, pistons, exhaust, and jugs today. Was hoping to paint them too but being 30 degrees out it was...

Debating on what I want to do with the engine cosmetically. Vapor blast the whole thing for a great natural looking engine? Paint the jugs black? crankcase black? Any input? The color scheme is going to be black frame, pearl white/light grey tank/seat, and brown accents.

Exactly! I need my seasons! Well as this weekend wraps up I got the cases split and studs pulled, not bad progress. I will pull all the innards out of the crankcase tomorrow and begin soaking them in either kerosene or diesel for a week along with the jugs and valve cover. I did the...

Beautiful bike and that's a great looking tank, something I may need to consider. I do LOVE the shape of BCRs Pinas tank so I may just have a custom tank built similar to that but still my own. Who knows we'll see! While I am on a budget, I will not let cost dictate this build. If I need to...

Alright so I think I'm going to pass on the BCR tank after contemplating the quality of fiberglass tanks. Now I plan on having a custom aluminum tank/seat made from one of our sponsors here, Retro Moto. They are local to me too which is nice. Custom oil tank is being ordered this week too...

Nope, haven't ordered the BCR stuff yet. Ive heard a few bad stories but also seen a lot of beautiful finished bikes with his products on them. I'm not too worried about having to finish it up to make it work, my family owns a paint and body shop so it will be done professionally. As for that...
