    1978 GS1000 Restomod

Looking good. You scored a really clean bike from the start. I got this same bike sitting in my garage, just needs a little work to get her finished. I used the same HF cleaner on the carbs and they looked like new when finished.

"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

Lets take a shitty, slow bike and make it way worse by removing the rear suspension and then sell it for a bunch of money. He'd be lucky to get $800.

"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

Yea range on it sounds terrible. 50 miles on a full charge, but cut that in half at top speed. Top speed is only 67 as well. I wouldn't even think about trying the highway.

    Yamaha xt600 PLEASE HELP

$600 seems like a good price. Get that oil leak fixed and ride it. Miles don't seem too high. I'm pretty sure that just a kick start which kinda sucks. I like having both kick and electric.

I now own an ugly cb550.. help me improve the looks on a budget

Cleaning the carb is always a must. Then I'd start by rebuilding the brake calipers and adding new stainless steel lines. These old brakes usually need an overhaul. Spend your money on some good rear shocks and I'd pull the front end and rebuild the fork, new tree bearing and clean it all up...

    78 GS1000 restore

Been a while since I posted. Had to pull the engine as I put a hole in the bottom engine case by putting the wrong side engine bolt in. Fun times. Any way got it welded and reinstalled. Length difference in bottom engine bolts: Here's where I'm at now. Engine back in and I'm working on the...

Mines disassembled at this point so I'm not exactly sure. I'm guessing those hoses are for vacuum going to the tank. Ask on thegsresouces.com and they give you a quick answer.

    78/79 KZ750 build

I ended up selling this bike a while back. Fun bike but I wasn't riding it over my 07 Scrambler. The rear fender was a front fender off a 80 KZ750 I had picked up as a parts bike. Cut it some and fit pretty well.
