As long as you didn't go overboard on the tire size on the front cutting down the original is probably the cheapest and easiest way to go. I did the same thing on my CB200.

Respoking the wheel was a pain, but the results are worth every minute.

Added bonus: by using the CM400 controls I don't have to figure out how to run the wires outside of the housing so they can run outside bars instead of inside the way the CB200 controls do.
