Is it possible that we post whatever random stuff we want in this thread without consequence to get to DCC's 10% off coupon for 100 posts? If thats breaking a rule or something just inform me ASAP. Thanks...
 
I don't think there's a rule against it but you would make a lot of people who participate regularly here grumpy and not get help when you need it
 
Understood. Thanks for the input before I made a jacka** of myself. It was just an idea.

It goes against the very spirit and intent of the discount. People who try and ramp up their post counts for whatever reason, be it a discount or some notion of prestige that goes with post counts are wasting everyone's time, cluttering up the board, consuming storage space that costs money etc.

The point of the 100 post discount trigger is to reward regular contributors to the community at large.

If you're desperate for the 10% discount go buy an issue of Iron & Air where DCC regularly prints an ad with a discount code.

I was thinking about getting those mags, they sound interesting. Does anyone recommend getting a subscription, or is it only worth it for the discount?

Not that I've bought anything from DCC, but I didn't even know there was a 100-post coupon. Weird.

It's taken me about... 8 months to get close to 90 posts.

It just cracks me up when people peter out after 30 posts. Like even cheating was too time-consuming.

What cracks me up is that anyone would actually give a shit. Haha... I mean, any discount is cool I suppose. But why would someone want to be a dbag over 10% off of the $100 they might spend? For the record, I've never used the discount code but think its super rad of those fellas to offer it. I know if I were them, and saw threads like this popping up I'd probobly start thinking real hard about upping that number.

No offense meant towards anyone btw. Just saying what I'm thinking.

Yeah I know what you mean... I have a lot of respect for the guys over at DCC and it would be assish of someone to spam posts for that.

It took me forever to get to 100! I get on here and read every day, but I'm still new to all of this so I have next to nothing to contribute. That discount was great when I placed my huge order though.
