150cc conversion.

Hello.

Any advice out there in UK land about any possible pifalls and the like about the legal/technical side of informing the DVLA and my insurance people about this upcoming high modification.

Will they make life painfully difficult or will they take it in their stride? Its hardly like sticking a supercharger on a VMax, but you never know....

Any thoughts gratefully considered.

Keep smiling.

Rich.

Sorry.

Lord knows how/why the word "high"found its way into the first sentence of my previous post..

Beyond me-demonic possession most likely cause.

I converted mine to the 150cc upgrade and informed both the dvla and insurance company of the change with little effect. bike is insured via swinton on a multibike policy with a yamaha Trx850 and paying £150 for fully compin total which is reasonable enough to be fair. Also informed them of all the other changes (Fairing, clip-ons, sports exhaust etc) and they noted it but showed little interest to be honest. Perhaps they consider a 53 yr old on a little bike to be limited risk, which makes sense to me.
