Lookin good Curb! Getting closer and closer on this thing.

I'm assuming you didn't get hurt dumping the 350?

I just set it down. No damage to me or the bike. Though I gouged a decent "life line" into my palm trying to cotter pin the brake cable. The gypsys' will be perplexed if I ever go for a palm reading.

This bike is gonna turn out pretty DIY looking. I dont have the patience/time/knowledge/etc for a full blown sex machine. I like the kinda ratty battered look anyways.

Thanks for the props! I should take a photo with the black shield on too

That seat is going to set you apart. I see you found the heat sheild you were looking for. Looks like I may end up going with the cl exhaust on my 200 as I'm having kick start clearance issues with the shorty mufflers.

Hey Curbcast, I've got the same exact bike in candy gold and I've been planning a wood seat as well. Yours looks sweet, I'm going for more of a cafe board/hump look.

Quick question about your exhaust, what kind of luck have you had fitting it? Did it slide right on or did you need to modify some? I got a cl pipe too and i'm affraid I'm gonna need to bend the pipes a bit to get it on there...

Also, how's your seat-mount working out? I'm still struggling to figure out the best way to mount my seat and I don't have a welder.

just wanted to put in my vote for a great , unique seat!!!

everyone does metal, fiberglass....

make one with a rear hump....maybe some differen't woods...and you might have a new side biz.

VERY NICE!

Unless it was bent before by a PO, you really shouldn't have to bend it to get it on. Sometimes it can be tricky to get it on, but it's possible.

Sorry Curb, carry on!

Sorry lads, my email prompt on threads aint working.
Yeah the CL & CB 175s are the exact same bike. Tiny little differences. The CL pipes fit on without a problem. Thanks R.

The turnouts/mini muffs needed to be modded alot, thats in this thread a while back. Need welder

yeah do a wooden seat. Ive got another one in the works for my moped. Same wood. Cherry wood is just too damn sexy. My dad had made a paddle with it thats what hooked me.

Heres some progress. Im thinking of leaving the tank bondo/bare with this design..give or take.

Whats youz guyzez thoughts? Its kinda a native/japanese feel. Which is the theme I suppose on the bike.

Not quite sure on it. I drew some lines on the tank with a pencil then PSd it & came up with it real quick. Kinda fun to stick with your raw first attempt. I really like more detailed lines, but cant cut that into a stencil. Troys bobber has the lace look. Thats very cowboy, this is very indian. I want the best of both worlds.

I like where you're going with this Curb. I'm not a "imaginative" thinker, but it looks good so far!

You're on to something here. Really nice direction, the whole thing will make complete sense with those original graphics and subtle color. Keep at it!

I really think the unique art deco lines fit with the modern natural lines of the bike. Very cool indeed. I wouldn't have thought cowboy or indian by just looking at it though.

A+ in my book.

I dig the design, but honestly I'm not sure the honda logo works with it. Each of them has a simple beauty, but together I think some of the simplicity gets lost.

Either way it's a great original look and it'll be a big eyecatcher.

I agree with this. I think just clear coating over the bondo/raw steel with the wood emblems could look really cool. But the exposed bondo, the design, the wood emblems.. its just overkill on what can be such a clean sleek build.
