so the previous owner let the bike tip over in the barn and your headlight mounts are bent. you wish you could just throw on a cheap set of emgo mounts but the tubes are pitted to hell. so unless you plan on drinking nattie light the next to months so you can afford new ones you need a plan. grab yourself some 1 1/2 " steel tubing. cut it the lenth of the distance between the upper and lower tree; don't cut it the lenth of the original ears unless you include the rubber washers in your calculations. look who's got new fork tubes...... 8)
you can paint them but i prefer to sand it and use some 0000 steel wool to give it the correct sheen. don't forget to clear it.

wow!!! nice bike, were are you getting the carbon parts from? if you can share the vendor info it would be great

Really liking what you've done so far. I wasn't sure how carbon would look on a cafe racer, but you've shown it looks great. Might even consider some for my own project now. Keep up the good work.

That is awesome I wish I could lay carbon. Are u considering producing the dress up kit for sale? I know there is a lot oftime involved in makingthe mold and vaccum pressing.

i hadn't really though about it. necessity is the mother of invention. i needed a new clutch cover but they're not available from honda. it was to pitted to paint so i used it to crate a carbon one. i found its better to skin the points cover to get a good seal unless you plan on bonding it in place. wet points can really ruin an evening.
