1974 CB360 Exhaust Temps

I picked up this CB360 about a month ago and it was only running on one cylinder. After setting the points, timing, and going through two sets of carbs its starting to run pretty well. Both exhaust pipes get hot now and the bikes sounds/rides fairly well. But I got curious and picked up the infrared temperature gun and noticed that the cylinder that wasnt firing before is about 40 degrees hotter than the other cylinder. So Im just curious what everyone elses temps are. My left side exhaust pipe where it meets the head was 165 and the right pipe was around 200...I dont have a carb sync tool because I cant find the correct thread nipple that fits the carbs to hook up the vacuum gauges. Im thinking with the carbs synced it may even out.

Does anyone know what is too hot? Being air cooled Im always worried about letting the bike idle too long without moving. Just how hot can it get, how long can I let it idle?

You can let it idle indefinitely, as long as oil level is good and you have good quality oil in there.
Never checked temps on stock dual skinned exhaust but single skinned pipes run at least 400 deg f at idle.
I make carb sync adapters for 360, will be doing some this weekend, look in ' Selling / Buying / Swapping / Spotting' on Sunday/Monday
