I should probably add a little more detail to my initial post... the seller is a co-worker who's also a friend. He's had the bike sitting in the garage for the last couple of yrs, but has kept up the maintenance with the hope that he'll soon have time to ride again. I throught the price was a little high as well, but being able to buy from a trusted source isn't a situation that comes along everyday. My concerns is that I have NO idea how to price a 30 yr old bike and most of the bikes I've seen at that age are usually junkers that required a large amount of work. I don't hav any prior mechanical experience and figured it would an easier transition to start on a bike that doesn't required attention on every nook and cranny.
