1974 honda cb 200 cafe build

started this rebuild back in may.. boy i thought it would be a piece of cake.. first time ever owning a bike! what an experience is all i can say, and i cant wait to do another one!

shes coming along good! painted er up and bead blasted the rims an painted them with sum tractor paint..

had to take it apart to put in a new kicker idkler, an broke a piston ring in the process too.. luckily i found some. they were .010 oversized but i filed them down...

my buddy has a graphic design shop and made thes for me.. i also have two of these decals extra if anyones interested.. id sell them for about ten bucks

all done... but went to fire it up and im sucking air through my exhaust :( timing is off!

Looks nice. Full marks for leaving fenders on.

What are you doing about mufflers? It will sound raucous like that but needs more length and needs baffles. But you probably have a plan for that. Yes?
 
thanks guys.. yes i actually got some copper tubing for plumbing with some reducers.. cut about 4 and a half inches and connected it to the reducer and drilled holes in them.. incredibly it worked rather well for some homemade baffles.. i will post pics tomorrow.. i know i def didnt want to mess with the whole backpressure .. so i def had to do something.. its loud enough that someone can here me coming for safty reasons, but not to loud to wake up anyone sleeping..
