Re: 1975 CB360 Cafe Edit Volume 2
Ice storms and earthquakes one week, 80 degrees the next… gotta love this place. Time has been hard to come by the last week or so. I've still got trees and limbs to clean out of my yard. A few things on the bike though…
Installed 14.5" shocks which gave me the stance I'm looking for. However, I'm a little skeptical that the angle of the swing arm may interfere with the chain. I'm going with an 18T/34T sprocket combination from Sprocket Specialists. We'll see if that's enough for chain clearance when the engine is installed.
Primered the seat and fenders, wet sanded to 500 grit, another coat of primer and ready for paint. Started stripping paint from the tank. 4 layers of paint and a few dings, but all is looking good. A little rust in the tank, so get ready for etch.
Up next: rebuild the wheels with alloy rings, finish detabbing, start shopping for new tires and rebuild the front forks (I wonder if lowering the front forks will improve chain clearance?).
