So fortune smiled on me about a month ago when a lady stopped by work and asked to see the owner of the 78 CB750 out front (which happens to be me) cuz she was looking to sell an old honda that was in her garage for the last 20 yrs. long story short I bought a 1975 CB360G with 4600miles for $300. Low miles with a 6 speed transmission was just too good to pass up. So here I am again with a honda twin on my hands and too many ideas.
So far i've only torn the bike down to an almost bare rolling chassis, just have to take motor and wire harness off really.
My plans as of right now are: CB550 gas tank, 95 ex500 fork assembly with cartridge emulators (thanks to djelliott for the info concerning the forks. he did the hard work and I reap the benefits), rear swing arm extension from racetech, rearsets (not sure where from yet), not sure if i'm gunna buy the interceptor seat from roccitycafe or whether i'll make it myself, pod filters, 2 into 1 custom exhaust, orange powder coated frame, white wheel hubs/tank, black motor/exhaust. still not sure about a lot of other things yet, like lights and stuff like that but i'll figure that out as i mock the bike up. Hopefully have it road worthy by the spring. feel free to comment or criticize or suggest things, it don't hurt my feelings.
Nice man! I just picked up a 1975 CB360T 6 months ago for $400. Unfortunately my job situation is not pumping enough cash flow to get the old girl running. I swear I can hear her sobbing at night begging me to fix her. Shes only got 9400 miles. Gotta do a lot of clean up on her before she is ready. Also I think Im missing some parts for the clutch assembly. Good luck man I can't wait to see what you do to yours!

Been a while since I've posted so i'll catch you guys up.
These are the parts that I've received so far. '95 ex500 forks/triple tree; ex500 speedo hub; gsx steering damper; and my swing arm extension
This is an integrated tail/turn light for a 09-11 YZF R1 that I've decided that I'm going to flip upside down and use. Shaping the tail around it is going to be interesting.
I finally have the bike down to the frame (don't know why it took me so long)
I cut the swing arm and brake stay and installed the wrench tech extension. Couldn't have gone any smoother.
Currently I'm trying to find the time to install the seat pan and then I'll be able to shape the seat and then fiberglass it. we'll see how many attempts it'll take me to get it right.
OK it's been a while. What can i say? I have a hard time staying on topic. But now I'm excited about the build again and back on the horse. Almost as soon as I got the seat pan welded in place, worked decided that they were moving warehouse location so my bike ended up in my 3rd floor apartment.
Here's the last pic i took there. I was imagining what the tail could look like. I was toying with a "duck tail" look
I just cut up some cardboard and tape to get the shape of the shadow. So the bike ends up in my room. I laid down several layers of the painter's plastic cuz I don't wanna get any grease or oil on the carpets. I've got the front end from an '95 ex500 on there now (not shown in pic).
I ended up running out to Michael's and buying the flower arrangement foam that they had there and stuck it to the seat pan with silicone. I decided to use the shape of the tail light to dictate the rear of the seat pan. So i ended up with a shape like this.
You can also see a pair of Woodruff 3 piece clip-ons up front in the pic ^^^. another pic of the seat front the front. I ended up whittling away at the foam for quite a while until i was left with this. I came pretty close to having to redo the hole thing tho.
So after discussing fiber glassing with my buddy who makes surfboards, I just went ahead with the fiberglass. It cam out ok. There are some places that I need to add some shape and some areas that I need to take some away. Here's a pic with the foam still inside the hump.
Here's a pic with the foam hollowed out and the tail light kinda installed. I still have to straighten the tail light but it's close enough that it's not a high priority to me right now.
This past weekend I got around to the rear inner fender. I ended up cutting a piece of 10ga perforated stainless steel from a cardboard template. I forgot about the swing *hand on face*. Not a big deal; 1 cut, some trimming on the sides, 6 tabs welded in place and 2 bends. Turned out better than I had hoped
I mocked up what I had of the bike just cuz I'm an impatient person. Couldn't wait. I threw some cardboard behind just to make things a lil easier to see
Looking good dude, only thing I would consider is the tail is looking a bit tall. Maybe just because it's not finished, but thought I would mention it.
