Version 3.. Back from the dead.. Last time this bike was on the road was summer '12.. Ride to mid ohio and some local stuff to finish the season.. Spring '13 pulled her out to get ready for the summer and found alloy and ferrous material in both oil filters so back in the shed she went.. Almost 2014 now and I've pulled her out and am working on getting her road worthy and reliable again.. Pulled down the original ( twice rebuilt already) engine and found a almost greasy to fail needle bearing cage on the crank.. So glad I parked it before total failure.. Pulled down my spare block to borrow the crank, same failure same bearing.. Fuck.. So bought a '72 256 engine that my dad had kicking around and I am in the process of tearing it down now.. Looks promising so far.. Plan for now is to run my good 447 cases with all the 256 bits inside if all goes well.. If I get ambitious I might make one good crank with my two bad ones, run my 447 rods and first over barrel with the 256 cam.. But if I split it I might as well rephase it also... Decisions decisions..
