When looking for new pads for my front brake I'm finding one million different brands and materials.
Anybody have a good brand that is maybe better than Honda nos pads.
I want to change the pads and hone the rotor and maybe wont need SS lines on there.

on my last few bikes i've never gone wrong with SBS brand HS compound (HS stands for High friction / Sintered)
i've used them in several different calipers and with different disc materials and they've performed admirably each time
don't be tempted to say 'ooh, they do a race compound for my caliper' .........they really are only for the track, they need to be at full operating temp all the time to work at all, the periods in between use on the road allows them to cool enough to paint the inside of your trousers brown

ok thanks, iv always gone with sintered/semi metallic. i know those kevlar organic pads need to be beaten pretty hard to get to operating temps. im just concerned with metallics that have the wrong composition (too much brass?) they can eat these older rotors up pretty fast from what i hear.
I picked up a set of the EBC sintered, we shall see how they work.

They will work well. If you ride in wet weather a lot the road grime can build up in the pads and start squealing so I stuff rags around the caliper and hit em hard with brake clean a few times a year, but if you ride hard they wont last more than a year!!

Luckily I have another bike for riding hard, the weight of this bike plus 2 up riding concerns me though. Having front and rear disks helps too, the rear brake on these F models has some serious stopping power- that disk is massive haha.
