NEW PRICE- $1100
1978 CB550
Runs excellent
Carbs and intake untouched
Custom made seat
Rear hoop professionally welded
Laced up a 2.15 rear rim to allow for a 120 tire
Mirrors, lights, gauges, etc.. mostly from Dime City Cycles
Turn signal wiring is still in tact and works properly
Suzuki RM front end- I chose a dirt bike swap for the ease of relacing a spoked wheel. I did not do any fork height adjusment yet and it is still a 21 inch wheel.
Speedo is not functional since fork swap- have not attempted a solution yet
Special wiring adapter made by Hondaman to allow for a much sleeker 4 wire keyed ignition
Original 4 into 2 exhaust chopped with shorty mufflers welded in- work and sound very nice- not too loud
I welded on alternate shock mounts to raise the rear. The stock mounts are still in tact and have not been altered.
I got the bike last summer, spent a ton of time customizing and now barely have time to ride it. I put about 600 miles on it total since I bought it. The old odometer plus the new one read around 26k miles. There is a dent in the tank visible in the pictures.
Basically I think this thing looks awesome. There is plenty of options to refine fork height and rear shock height with 2 mount options. Lace up a 19 inch front and it is near perfection. (to me anyways)
