Little Update...

Got the 4-1 exhaust mounted up. No cycle dealerships open today, so trying to clean some of the blue off will have to wait a couple of days.

Also got the replacement rear turnsignal harness finished. Everything is properly color coded and works as it should again.

Got a little (very little) bit done Sunday.

Pulled the carbs again to fix the float that was set too high, adjust the high idle cam on the choke, and to check the air screws for proper baseline adjustment. The screws were off by between 1/2 turn to 1 1/2 turns too far out. She seems to warm up/come off choke alot quicker, but she still seems to have a stumble... and now she's developed a somewhat random "pop" through the exhaust ??? ::)
I hate chasing shit like this. It's so much nicer when you can simply remove/replace a broken part and have it operate properly again :)

New seatpan finally arrived Friday, after some shipping problems. The seller was kind enough to refund half my money for the inconvenience (even after I kinda flipped out on him), so the seatpan cost me a total of $40. I gotta say, he was a stand up guy about it.
As you can see it was sent "fresh from the mold", so it needs trimming. It'll also get custom fitted to the bike as well as to accomodate the OEM hinges and latch, so I can swap on the original seat when the wife wants to ride with me.

Clip-ons are on order, and I need to make a trip over to Fastenal for some hardware. More to come...

Wow, hadn't realized it'd been two years since she saw any progress
The main delay was due to me building a workshop in the backyard... which took waaaayy too long :p

Clip-ons and Rearsets arrived a while back...

Along with some new levers/perches/master cylinder...

More recently, a Mr.E custom top yoke...

And a rebuilt and loaded caliper...

The tins went to the painter yesterday. Should have them back in a week or so :)
Stay tuned for further, and more frequent, updates ;)

Picked up my tins today...

I'm having "stainless steel" HONDA and 750Four decals made for it as well.

And the new fuel tap arrived Thursday...
(screen was missing from the old one)

Got a lil bit done today.
Mounted the rebuilt caliper, new master cylinder, and clutch perch/levers.
She now has a functioning front brake again :)

The superbike bars are temporary. I tried to fit the clip-ons, but they'll require the gauges to be moved to fit properly. And since I'll need to fabricate a new gauge bracket to fit the billet top yoke, both will have to wait just a bit longer.

And the Shop Supervisor, doing what he does best :p

Got a little bit more done yesterday...
Had to pull the carbs again, as they got a lil gummed up during hibernation. And it took her a while to fully wake up from her nap. But she's seems raring to go now :)

And this is pretty cool too ;)

She needs tires, and a few nitpicky things addressed, but this is how she's gonna roll for now...

I'll mount up the new top yoke/clip-ons/rearsets after I get the DS7 back up and running. Being without a ridable bike suuuuuucks!

Oh, and I think I got passed over for a damn promotion! It appears there's a new supervisor on the job now...

Freakin punk kid. I think he's related to the old supervisor ::)

She made her debut earlier today. Clutch cable needs a little slack, and the front brake is still a little mushy, but otherwise she performed great :D
Out and about...

Nah, I take very clever photos of my bikes to make them look really good :p

But Thanks all the same :D

Finally got around to picking up my vinyl.

And a quick shot of them installed

Picked up a (previously absent) battery strap, and a tach drive oil seal.

Seal was amazingly easy to change. Took a pick, hooked it, pried it loose, pulled it out.

Tapped the new one in with a 10mm deep socket. Took less than 10 minutes ;)

Lil bit of an update...

it is a beaut :) but keep your wits about you :-\, you are asking for speed wobbles with that front dropped low like that, besides the cornering clearance lost :'(
