Hey guys - I'm new here and wanted to show a bike I've been working on for a few months....1979 CB 650. I bought this bike and a 76 CB 750 as a package deal from a guy in Southern Ohio. Both were in good running condition and had clean titles.

This is not my first bike build, but first cafe/Honda 4 SOHC. I did all the fab, paint, etc myself. I'm not a painter by trade, but really enjoy painting. I own a fab company and we have a nice paint booth.

Love to hear your feedback!

Here is what I started with:

Can't wait to get her on the road!

Thanks! Shocks were purchased on Ebay....I think they were around $110...nothing name brand but they are the length that I needed. Had to go with 2" longer than stock due to the extended swingarm.

I actually acquired this bike about two weeks ago. The frame, triple tree and some engine covers are off to get powder coated gloss black. Going to pick them up tomorrow. There were some weak weld joints on the frame and a lot of bondo where there should be welds that needed rewelded before painting.

Ordered a bunch of other parts for it, including a MAC 4-1 exhaust, new slow and main jets, pod filters, grips, foot pegs and a whole gasket kit.
