So after a lot of digging it's hard to find a definitive answer on what people recommend. Not looking to do this conversion for better top-end speed or acceleration, really keeping it in stock function would be ideal for my use. I just know a lot of people are fans of o-ring and x-ring chains and I'd like to see what brand and size you all recommend for the chain and sprocket. There seem to be a lot of options out there and I don't want to cheap out on something this important.
Stock sprockets - 15/38
Stock 630 Chain- 90 links

I finally found a solid runner and want to keep her stock with a few upgrades here and there.

Here she is since we all love to see pictures!

I went through this same thing not a month ago and ended up just trying it because I got sick of waiting for DCC to respond....

these will work:

JTF288-16
16 Tooth Front Sprocket - (Fits: CB500 Four, CB550 and CB750)

69-6104
OE Spec 104 Link Standard 530 Chain

JTR284-40
40 Tooth Rear Sprocket - (Fits: CB750 70-77 & 80-82, CB650 79-82)

I used these and just shortened the chain appropriately

I figure the chain would be shortened to length so that's good. Thanks for the sprocket references. I'm getting the feeling that a few variations are acceptable but I'll go with what you said!
