Been trying to figure out how long this bike had really been sitting in someone's garage.
I knew when I bought it that it was longer than 2-3 years as stated.
The reason being the tires which I had never heard of the rear tire maker before.
So I contacted the Mfg. and was told it had been at least 20 years since they had made motorcycle tires.
They mainly specialize in ATV, wheelbarrow and trailer tires.
So I am thinking this bike has probably sat sit maybe the mid to late 90's.
Just lucky it was inside and not outside.
Okay the 1979 GL1000 should be up and running this weekend and should have the panels back from paint tomorrow or Monday. ;D
Everything had been going great until I forgot that I had not torqued the rear brake halves together correctly on the rear caliper and made a freakin mess because it leaked brake fluid everywhere.
