I though I would post up some pictures of the seat rehab process on this build.

First, the stock seat pan was reconfigured, with brute force and ugly welding

Next, get yourself one of these: It's my brother and his industrial sewing shop

The original foam was cut down, shaped. Then new foam was added strategically and shaped some more.

While I was shaping foam, my brother started making the diamond quilted top.

Test fit with the tank to see how it's working out.

Now we made the pattern. Not shown is the two or three test covers we made from scrap fabric refining the pattern.

Once we had a good fit on the tests, we transferred the pattern to the cover material.

Then my brother sewed it up.

Here it is on the bike. It will still need another round of stretching to get it as smooth as it needs to be, but you can get the idea.
