Hello all! Been going hard on this project, just got my CB750F stripped down to the bare frame and dropped off at my local custom shop for frame mods, and the engine safely in the back of my Jeep until I finish moving homes to start a full breakdown and rebuild with all new bearings, rings, seals, and hand lapped valves. Probably gonna drop CB900F cams in as well, we'll see.

My issues are suspension. I'm going Mad Max, but with a touch of class. I want this bike to be something I can gear the fuck up, strap my bags to the rediculous sissy bar (removeable), and straight up desert camp. I live close to the San Rafael swell, and it's perfect for moto scrambling. It's also gonna be the bike I can suit up and take the sissy bar off, and take the girly out for drinks.

So, factory rear shocks are 13". I'm looking at the Chinese ebay specials, the 400mm and 380mm shocks which would extend my swingarm travel length a bit. I need your help picking these out. Which ones to look for? Heavy duty does it even apply? Issues mounting extended travel shocks on the factory swinger?

Front end. I've been seeing that the most popular thing nowadays is a GSXR front end on every single vintage custom bike now. Obviously I'm thinking this will not work for a scrambler build. What do I even look for? My current front forks are rebuild able and In good shape to do so. Would I be better off buying xr600 forks for the travel? I'm probably going to stick with the factory comstars, and hydraulic brakes all around. They all are died out and need a full rebuild kit. Any advice fully appreciated, this build has me feeling like I've bitten off more than I can chew, someone please reassure me
