I have a CB750C in my area and im wondering if anyone thinks since it's an 1980 there will be any problems with the frame, motor, etc. versus the more popular mid-70's bikes. anything i should specifically look for? goal would be to cafe into a daily driver. Also its got 44k miles and he wants $650, its supposed to run "good" just cosmetic stuff id be changing any ways. Thoughts?

Its not a bad bike. Just check if the engine is not leaking any oil or smoking. other than that parts are abit hard to find. Wreckers are always good for that. i have one too, just got it but not touching it till fall. Let me know what happens .

Agreed. My first CB was an 80. Thing had sat in a garage for 10+ yrs and was uglier than snot (disco glitter blue/black tank with rust accents), but it ran. Had no brakes which made for an interesting test run, but it ran. Just be prepared to do a lot of maintenance stuff to it. I'd guesstimate that I dropped around $500 into it, but then again I only paid $300 for the bike. They go like stink if you get the tuning spot on!
