Anybody know the stock main and secondary jet sizes are for a 1980 Honda CX 500 Custom and which one is the main and secondary jets???? I keep getting main jet sizes 78 and 115 but which one is which???

AlphaDogChoppers said:Before I went with cxman's (Murray) Mikuni carb kit on the CX500 I built, I went to a 120 intermediate main jet, (the one where the needle is,) and 95 main jet. I also removed the flame arrestor screen inside the airbox and the rubber intake snorkel as well as used a K&N filter. I was still waay too lean. I put the rubber snorkel back on, and it ran pretty well, but had a flat spot at 1/8 throttle. I was going to go to a 130 intermediate main and 100 main, but instead the Murray carb kit gave the bike a major kick in the ass.
Seriously, if you
care about performance at all, fugedaboud the stock carbs, and install the Murray carb kit.
