Could work well, but i think i would have adden some white to make more contrast betveen the colors on the logo and the sun to make it stand out a bit more....... Just a thougt
You could do the same graphics with the blue you had in mind and use purple instead of white for contrast.....(?)
Yeah, i think you're right. I will probably do an outlining pinstripe around the Logo on the tank. Im not sure if i want the sunt to be black or yellow though..... It looks cool both ways!
Me too actually! But i am still playing around with paint scheme ideas right now. This one that i pictured above is pretty simple and has that kinda "POW!" effect that i like without being too ridiculous. Ya know? But we will see. I think i might have a pro do it cause i don't want to screw it up and have to start over... >.> I found a guy who would do it pretty inexpensively here in town, and he is friends with my sister and my parents, so he is going to give me a discount of 20%. So i think he said for this design, it would run me about $115 after the discount. So i thought it was a pretty decent deal for a pro paint job! But im deciding if i want to get that done now or next winter, because i have a few more things to do with the engine and wires that i am going to start on next winter. So i think i might leave it flat black for now and get it done later this fall/winter. We will see.
That's what I am currently trying to figure out right now. What I might do is just move the rising sun(and the S) down the tank away from the gas cap, then paint the gas cap accordingly.
Sweet Geezus! She is ready for some summer riding! ^_^ After i got everything spray bombed with some Rustoleum flat black, adding a little race striping on the Cowl, and putting everything together, she started right up with no problems! She still needs her tank cleaned up. Just a little bit of flash rust in the tank to get rid of and to get it sealed. I also just left it as straight pipes, because i had some difficulties setting up the exhaust which will be worked on next weekend, but she is running and mostly clean!
And just so you guys know, i only got her ready for summer riding until next fall when i get everything finished off and powder coated! So she still looks and sounds a little Ratty!
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, so what i thought about doing, was altering the fairing to be more narrow by cutting it down the middle and use some plastic clips to rivet to hold it together down the middle. But IDK how that is gonna look. Things always look different in my head than they turn out. Some in good ways, some bad. But i will probably end up buying a different one if it doesnt work! I really want a really nice half fairing but they run SOO expensive anymore unless you buy a used one thats old and cracked.... >.>
You could take a stroll thru an old bike yard and look for one, but that's kind of a long shot. All the stuff from Airtech comes at a price too..... maybe a Thruxton fairing from eBay?
@Teazer: Just so you know, i personally think it looks a bit big, but not because big rich said it did. I honestly just used this thing as more of a mock up rather than a permanent thing(It also helps cover my wiring mess.). I really do actually plan on getting a better one later in the, hopefully, near future depending on how things go.
But i thank you for your concern in regards to you thinking i was under pressure to agree with big rich. Like i said, i like constructive criticism and do not fall under peer pressure very easily!
@Big Rich: Thanks. I was actually thinking that myself, but like you said, finding one is actually quite the long shot, especially in oklahoma!.... >.>
I acutally have a question. I changed my old lights over to LED turn signals but they only light up. They don't seem to want to flash when i use my turn signal. Could this be a resistance issue with the signal regulator(Nippo)? How is this fixed?
