1982 Yamaha Virago Cafe Racer

Like the cafe version, I think once you lower the front end the lines will flow better. Nice job at making a Virago look cool!

Damn you stole my color...lol

Looking good. I really like the tank dents. Are you going to keep the pegs, or go with rear sets?

I like the filter on the side. I want to dump the airbox on mine.

I agree with DesertKZ, you could drop the forks. The only problem is you would only be able to go about an inch, since you went with clubmans.I went with 2", but had to go with clip ons as clubmans would have hit the top of the forks. I want to do the rear wheel conversion, but I am afraid it will drop it too low.

Might help give you some ideas...

That actually is the airbox. Its just been cut down
for this bike I will be going with rear sets. Along with my GS400 build.

The Virago's current condition. Made a very well thought out decision to redo the entire bike. Starting tomorrow the bike is to be wired and the wiring harness made, then removed. And the REAL tear down of the '82 Virago begins.

In case you haven't already seen it, here's a really nice step-by-step wiring harness diagram for that bike, eliminating all of the relays: http://viragotechforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=140&t=35947
