I have had some problems with it, but think its my own fault :-/ One of my garage-buddies is using one on a Suzuki GS650 and is very satesfied. It is under the rear of the seat

I don't think those tires are doing anything positive for you on the street, might contribute to the uneven feeling. You riding it off road?

tkc80 are/were std tyres on bmw r1150/1200gs adventure. i've seen them go past me at rather outrageous speeds and angles on the tar. but they do feel very coarse. you'd really need to love the look to have them on a road bike.
