I dig it! Virtually all the performance aspect of making a café is already there! Looking forward to seeing the build and end result!

I like it. Will need a good paint scheme to tie the fairing in with the tank. Looking at the scenery are you in the UK? If you are try to track down some proper Mikuni flatslide carbs of the 1985 model.

yes notlob i am in the uk, liverpool.
the original Mikuni model BST36SS carbs were 36 mm diameter and i have dynojetted them to stage 1 so new needles, jets, removed airbox and fitted pods as you can see. might try some Mikuni model BST38SS carburetors 38 mm diameter off a later model or even try to find the 40 mm Slingshot carbs from the rr, but will see how these work for now.
the rear sets are fixed to the frame but who knows where they will end up tgreg.

We're almost neighbors compared to most on this site. I live in Swinton but have a place I work from in Newton Le Willows.

I was on about these carbs, Mikuni VM29ss fitted only to 1985 GSXR750 proper flatslides not CV semi flatslides.

i like old GSXR's. If i was going with a water-cooled bike, it would be that. But I don't think you need the fairing. A gsxr doesn't need to be aerodynamic to be fast, and that shape isn't doing the profile of the bike any favors.

If you insist on a fairing, I'd go for either something smaller, or much bigger.

I think the hump on the seat could be a little taller too, but it might just be the camera angles.

I agree, I love the bike but not with the fairing. The bike looks like it's doing the ton just sitting there(-;
