So we've been looking for a Campa to replace our old popup and we did not want another popup so been hunting for a while. Finally found a deal 1.5 hours away in Maine. Went to look, put a deposit, went back to get it and now the fun begins. It's put the little boat on hold for a few weeks but no fear we will be getting back to it too as we have a trip planned for mid July at a campground on the river we will want the boat to come to go fishing. It's complete, has all the things we wanted. Bathroom for midnight pee, fridge, stove, furnace and AC and they all work. It's decor is stuck full on in 94 so that is the majority of the work needed. It had some water in over the years, we knew that so first thing up was pull the floor and walls where the water came in and fix. The door had a springy spot. Front corner had a soggy spot and the back corner under a dinette seat was iffy.
Day we picked it up. Stopped for supper at a local Pub in Lincoln ME, the Forester. Food was good, beer was better! Bangor Brewing Blonde Ice Coffee Stout! Try it if you get the chance.
Home in the yard.
pulled the PO repair. it was not done exactly right and was bouncy because the supports were not tied into the frame correctly.
All fixed and sealed with spray foam under it. can jump and down on it now.
front tore out. didn't get pick of repair but I replaced all the rotten with new and will install new 1/8 ply on wall 3/4 went on floor.
and the best part, fairly recent carpenter ant nest. Shopvac and ant spray. the rotted bits will all get removed and new solid wood put in.
