I had a metal seat pan made for me and glued foam to it and shaped it myself. A friend gave me the name of a guy who could sew a vinyl cover for me and wrap the foam. After several months i finally got it back and wasn't entirely happy with it.

I reached out to my aunt who sews a lot and was asking her about industrial sewing machines and if she knew where i could get a used one fro cheap. Turns out my grandfather had bought a small walking foot machine a long time ago so she could fix his tractor seats. She gave me the machine, so i messed with it for a little, made a new seat pan out of fiberglass and sculpted a new seat out of foam.

I watched a lot of upholstery videos and made a pattern and did 2 practice runs with inexpensive vinyl.
I bought better quality vinyl from sailrite and went for the final seat. Here it is all glued up. I used silver thread on the diamond pattern to match my tank.

I glued felt on the underside and the square cutout is where my battery sits.
