holiday weekend proved to be pretty nice to get some stuff done... but of course my friends and family found out i was in my garage wrenching and everyone and their brother came by to get stuff done on their own bikes... i rebuilt a SV650 front end, replaced the neck bearings in a sporty 1200, new shocks and speakers on a bagger, and swapped wheels and calipers on a C3 vet... yet when their bikes/cars where all done and i needed a hand on tearing down my front end everyone suddenly had places they "had to be" pretty shitty... never the less i plowed on...
*sorry the bike is so dirty i left the cover off for the week and it got dusty as shit*
got the floorboards on and positioned 2" back.. here is a shot of the board with the welded up heel guards
extended heel shifter on the other side to comp for the new floor board location
got the police style hinges in place, drilled and mocked up for the latch system
also drilled and lined up the flush mount pop up latch that will lock the lid down on the bags... funny how an hour of making sure it is in the right spot and then about 20 seconds to drill to put it there hahaha
pressure gauge finished and mounted (still needs to be coated)
rear caliper on, and braided line
air shocks on... took alot longer to get in the bushings than i was expecting but they are in there now... still need to coat the hardware but the painted shocks look really good
and last... got the compressor bolted in, the mount powder coated... and did a test run of the final placement/fitment for the cone before I ship this and the bags to Davo Customs for some paint to be laid on them. I could not be happier with the Dev Fab nose cone. the lower mount i made works awesome! The upper mounts i had clamps with welded nuts to them but to be honest i think i may just use 2 metal zip ties i powder. This is non load bearing and i think i should keep it simple and not over think it
