I got it on video also.
It was what I expected. And the important thing is NO ENGINE DAMAGE from the Wiizards of Nitrous system. Now I will have untill September to sort out the exhaust on the dyno and add a 20 hp shot of nitrous.
I also had fun meeting the guys filming cafe racer TV . Very cool bike they have.
This is a video of a run in Ohio. It is a test run to see how the nitrous worked. I hit the button at 92mph and held it to the finish. the speedo read 110 but the time slip went to 111.0.
Nice work man, very impressive. I enjoy seeing people work hard to test the upper limits of a machine when it would be easier to just upgrade to a larger machine to get the same results. Keep up the good work, looks like alot of fun.
I am getting ready for the September speed trials. This will be the last run for the season. I have to put together a plan. The first step is to retune the bike for a therty shot of nitrous . The ten hp shot worked very well. I have five weeks to get things together.
I did a compresson test. The engine is in good shape. So an oil change and inspect the clutch should be enough .
Once the engine is back together I will go on the dyno. Run it to figure out the exhaust and test the nitrous under controlled conditions.
I go to Bonniville in late August . So I will wait untill the first week in September to test.
I made some excellent progress over the weekend. I want to run a thirty shot of nitrous on the 34 hp engine, So The first thing is the static test, I did that and it was very rich, I was so rich it just surges and tries to shut off as soon as I hit the button. I figured out what was going on and made an adjustment to reduce the over all flow to the jets. Then I ordered a selection of smaller jets.
The ideal static test is like this. I warm up the engine. Have the bottles at 950 psi. I bring the engine up to 4000 rpm then hold the button. What should happen is the engine goes to about 500 rpm below the red line. OR 12500 rpm. If it tries to peg the rev limiter. Then it is way to lean. If it just bogs it is to rich.
The first video is a static test I made in Ohio. When I hit the button the engine just gives a brief surge boggs and tries to stall.

The second video is what I have now. It is very close.
In the second video ( SORRY NO SOUND?) you can see I do two test . The second one is the best. I bring the engine to 4000 rpm and hold the button. The engine jumps to 11000 RPM then settles down to 8000 RPM. Its just a little rich. When I get the new jets I will retest.
After spending a lot of time fiddling with the fuel mixture. I think I got it. The dyno will tell for sure, But this static test is by far the best . The engine goes to 12000 rpm and I quickly let go of the button and then I give it a couple blips of the throttle to clear it out back to idle.
This is a 30 shot of nitrous on a 34 hp engine. I cant wait to get some real numbers form the dyno.
Hey Guys
Sorry I have been gone. I went to Bonneville to race at BUB . It took two weeks to do then I was sick for a week after I got back. Now I am ready to leave for Ohio to run my bike.
Bonneville was a blast. I have watched the worlds fastest Indian movie a million times. BUT NOW I can figure out the camera angles and all the scenes from the time he was on the salt make more sense.
I worked as crew chief on two teams with vintage 250 350 and 175cc bikes. We set eight records with four riders over the five days of racing,
We had rain on one day and it made the track smoother after it dried. With sharks swiming we could not race.
I took my bike to Ohio last weekend. It was the last race of 2012. Despite a lot of stupid problems like a dead battery on the bike and a leaking hose I did manage to go 123.369mph . That is a personal best, and the fastest anyone has gone on a Kawasaki 250 ninja.
This was the first run at 119mph. After the run I ride back to impound to register the record.

Thanks. I still have a lot of sorting to do. First run was in the rev limiter. Second run was geared to tall. And the mix was off because I need a bottle heater. But the next run is only six months away. That gives me time to work it out. I checked the motor and everything is good so far.
