I'm messing around with idea to get an oil cooler set up for my ride since it does get damn hot in around here in the summer and I want to ride no matter what. I have seen a few mods here and there but nothing really up close an in my face when it comes to the modifications it takes to do it.

I have looked at other engines and I have studied a few other systems. I know what cooler I want to use and I will post up here in a bit with a linkage when I find it.

SO, what did YOU do to make it work?

External. BAM.

That's a 350
360 doesn't have separate cover on clutch cover.
You don't really need a cooler if you use 'good' oil and change it regular (and don't hold it at high rpm for extended periods)

Yeah I know pj, it's just type of person I am. I have a water cooled PC for goodsakes. And not for the performance mind you because if I had fans in it that it should have you wouldn't be cable to sit next to it without earplugs. Plus it does get plenty hot around here in the summer and I really tired of running the car everywhere. My commute to work is over 45 miles and is through some pretty hilly twisty country so it will work harder than most. Sorta the reason I wanted a bike in the first place, the drive is awesome in a car, I can't imagine what it's gonna be like on the bike. ;D

The cooler I want to use or there abouts. They come in several sizes and colors and in both dual and single pass form.

Sonny I have been looking at that website for a while now and it just makes me WISH it had a 450 instead, just for the cool shit they have on there. Either way, I will keep my bastard child, I always like the underdogs and the throw a-ways. More fun to have something no one else wants or has.

The 450s have similar clutch covers to the 350 that's why I said it. That site also has kits for them as well. I like the looks of the 450 engine over the 350 if I had my choice. I don't I got a 360 so we just deal. ;D

It's do-able on a 360, just a bit more work.
You have to remove the oil-way blanking plugs in clutch cover, drill, tap, and spot face.
I'm still in the process of doing mine but I do have some pics in 360 project build.
As far as I can tell you can only use 8mm oil line banjo bolts which means the oil flow will be restricted (unless you weld bosses onto case to fit 10~14mm fittings)
