4 into 1 advice

Guys/gals,
Looking to put a 4 into 1 on a 81 Honda CB750C. Carpy's, MAC, Cycle-x, Vance/Hines are my choices. Any suggestions, such as difficult to change the filter with the ____ pipes, etc. would be helpful. Looking for a non-baffled design, no center stand.

Thanks!

If you can find an ol' school Kirker 4-1 that would be the ticket! I had one for my '83 Suzuki Gs550ESD and it made the bike sound way way meaner than it actually was.

Not many out there in decent shape, from what I can find.

Occasionally MotoGP Werks makes small batches of exhausts for old bikes like these. For the money you get one hell of a pipe, stainless too. I scored one on ebay for my kz1000. I may be wrong but I think MotoGP Werks also is the one making the exhausts for Carpy, except they are mild steel and coated.

MotoGP werks is great, he used to make them for Carpy.
Now carpy has a retarted chimp making them. They are almost worthless they are so bad.

Non baffled is stupid though

Thanks all for the input. I will look into MotoGP Werks for a 'stupid' non-baffled exhaust :p

Please tell us that you really are not planning on riding a bike on the street with an unbaffled 4 into 1 pipe. There's no way that would be street legal and would be banned at most race tracks.

What's the real deal here?

Motogp Werks isn't going to sell a non-baffled exhaust. Their "race" pipes are quite loud but still give good back pressure. Great old super bike sound.

The old Vance and Hines megaphone is a good system.

If running CV carbs keep your airbox and be happy.

C'mon... You KNOW it's not a cafe racer unless it kinda runs like shit and makes so much noise that cops a town over get pissed. ;)

So tired of the same shitty formula used by newbies to make the same junk motorcycles.
Wow, did not expect some to get their female undergarments all twisted up. The plan is to use my own baffling system that have worked on other bikes. A good friend is a sound engineer at V&H. BTW, been riding for over 35 years, so hardly a newbie- 8) just looking to see what others have used and worked and not POS's!

Thanks XV. The airbox has long been gone and a dynojet kit installed. Not sure of the size jets as I was struggling to set all 4 up 'properly' so took it to R. Stuart, mechanic for Larry McB., and he has it setup 'right' for a crappy 4-1 system. So I hope if I replace with a similar setup, ie not 4-2-1, etc I should be OK with carb setup.
