400f gasket set - what is it for?

Been Around the Block
The gasket set I got for my 400f has 8 small o-rings, green rubber, about 10mm in size. Any idea where they go? They're not for the tappett caps. Those are around 24mm.

Also, the gaskets typically included in oem type sets are self sealing right? No fancy sealer required?

Are they shaped like tappet caps, sort of little green nipples? You should have two sizes of those for exhaust and intake.

Are you talking about valve guide seals? There are only seals on the intake valves. The ones that I am wondering about are o-rings. eight. All the same size.

They are valve guide seals, you only need them if you fit new guides as they fit between guide and cylinder head.
The valve stem seals fit on top of guides

Ah! Good. Thanks both!

Since someone started a thread related to my question, i'll throw it out.

Anyone know what the cloth rings wrapped in copper wire are for?
They're the same size of my exhaust pipes but I cant imagine they would belong there.
