450 heads on 360

Engine sizes are completely off, bores are larger and more spread apart. You'd also be lacking a cam chain tensioning system that would work with the 450 head. Combustion chambers are larger, would require different pistons. etc. Probably have to fit the entire 450 top end to the lower 360 just to get close. MIGHT have to fit 450 crank as well. Then you are messing with a lower end that was designed for 30 HP where as the 450 makes 45-50 depending.

Basically lots of work and $$$ IF you can get it to work, not a direct bolt on. AND yes I have both of these engines in my garage right now and yes I have had them both completely apart. And yes I have mocked it up for shits and giggles.

Suggestion would be to search the forums here for 360 upgrades or go get a 450 bike. NO the 450 engine will not fit in the 360 frame without a lot of cutting and hacking and welding.

I Thank you sooo much for saving me the time and trouble! I knew someone more knowleagable had thought and tried to mock it up.

For more questions on LEGO-style upgrades, the only ones i know of are a cb650 cam in a 550/500 and a cb/cl175 cb200 head swap (the 175 head on the 200 engine that is) There a a couple more i guess... Honda loves re-using molds/parts

You can check parts fiches on cmsnl.com and check for comparisson.
