Hope you guys enjoy this build and my attempts at documenting it.
Today the bike sits mostly in boxes waiting for assembly as I'm still waiting on a few critical bits before I throw the frame back on the bench

here are a few pictures from the beginning stages

Greaseless compound is pure magic when it comes to polishing. I'm sure that $15 tube saved me 10 hours of sanding.

One last piece to tackle; the rear hub is going to be a bitch to work.

hey that looks great, tell us more about this compound, and your painting, i need some painting real soon,

This is a picture of my setup and a close up of the compound.

Load up the wheel; you know you have enough when it starts hitting you in the face! and GENTLY work the loose cotton wheel in all the hard to get places. The best success was when used with the die grinder on the small tips, works wonders in small areas that would normally require tons of fakin' around. As you can see the stuff I got was 320 grid, they are also available in 80 and 180 but I don't really see any need for it.

it looks like something I left in the toilet this morning :)

So you can just straight up start polishing with this? No sanding?

yup; just load up the wheel, take the dirty part and go to town on it. It leave a nice dull finish but it's difficult to get it uniform on the large surface areas. The bigger pieces got an additional 400 wet sand before I got to the polishing.

- I'm at the shop working on the paint right now, hope to have an update soon!
