Been a long time. Been poking around the forum got me in the mood to post. Still been building its slowed down some the Grandcanyon group has scattered out across Texas so it's hard to get the garage motivation going.
That looks so much more rideable with the change of tires. Man are those pipes blue though. Did you manage to set up the jetting on a dyno with Air:Fuel logging?
Thank you Ninja sir & nah I never got on the dyno, I kinda got focused on other bikes. But the Honda is still plated and I try to make sure its ridden.
Jarods CB160 runs now, I don't even remember what was wrong with it. But once we got home and got the time we got it sorted pretty easily.
No sir Nate at Vinylux. I can’t recomend him strongly enough. He was super good about me sending him a million pics to get the fitment right. He actually has done a couple seats for me. Awesome guy great seats. He nailed the fitment and never saw the bike in person.
Finally the xs had some mixed luck. It got its 15 minutes of fame with that AMC show Ride with Norman Reedus, but then the same night Beerson let a friend ride it and he wrecked it. The guy who wrecked it bought him a cool replacement tank though as an act of contrition.
Thanks gents. It's def a cool little whip. Those where the last bikes we posted on but not the last ones we built. Did a KZ400 and a CX500 did some cool work to beersons triumph scrambler. I built myself a fun little rigid outta a sporty. And we are currently messing with a 76 Suzuki gs and a 76 XL350 gonna make some off road on road bikes for a big bend trip.
I planned on doing a post for the XL350 but seems like I never take pics and my hands are too dirty for the computer.

Nice, the 350 is a great bike. We drove out to Big Bend a couple months ago. That whole area is pretty awesome, surely there is some kick ass off road riding outside the park (and possibly inside?).
Fun side note they day after the day after I brought this bike home my truck was stolen with my ct110 in the back. So if you see this 110 it's STOLEN please shoot whoever is in possession on sight.
I got the truck back but everything in it or on it in the last pic was stolen. Meh
Anyway. The CX in my opinion albeit just some dudes opinion, suffers from an ugly rear half of the frame. So I knew I was gonna chop that up to get the look I wanted.
This is actually pretty cool. My brother in law has a 3D printer and he made me these sweet exhaust building Legos similar to the ICE engine works ones I presume. But they are fun and pretty handy.
This tank was not savable in my eyes but very long story short decided to try and weld on other peoples welds and patch old patches and save the tank. Learned a lot about what not to do.
Yoinked the engine out gave it a rattle can VHT paint job, not advising anyone do this but I was very pleased with the look of the end result.
And started laying down layers of paint on the tank. I knew this tank was gonna have a company logo on it so the coat after prime needed to be the color I wanted the logo to be
Ha you can really see the de_evolution of the garage into a state of messy chaos in the background.
The bike didn't have any gauges on it it when I got it except a digital temp gauge, and I new I wanted this bike to be legal when I hands it back over so I made a little cluster with some sheet metal and a gauge I had laying around. Used an emgo key cylinder and got lucky there because the key it comes with happened to work for the fuel filler lid woo.
