69 cl350 mild cafe build

So i have been lurking around here for awhile and am starting to tear my bike apart and fix a few things and get it going now that the weather is breaking. Its a 69 cl350 that i picked up just over a year ago i got it running rode it and had a ignition problem so the bikes been down since last august. the frame is powdercoated gloss black the motor is powdered wrinkle black and thats about all i did when i got it.

List of new parts to go on:
points
hondaman ignition
coils over from mikesxs
new wires and caps
vm30's - getting rejetted from thr
oversized pistons - 2nd over
joe from here is powdercoating the wheels

parts i replaced last year:
the whole cam chain roller assembly
tires and tubes
chain and sprockets
complete gaskets on the motor
drag bars - eliminated all the stock controls
bar end mirrors
i also have cl pipes that are going on with emgo shorty mufflers

im sure i forgot little stuff but im sure ill remember later

heres a pic of how it sits today sorry for the crappy pics but its all i have is my cell

and the new to me carbs

so my next thing to worry about is the seat and paint. and i have to shop that rear fender off

oh yea if anyone is intrested in those cb head pipes and mufflers im going to be selling them. the mufflers only have a few hundred miles on them and just have to be cleaned up. they are not mint condition but very very presentable

does anyone know if the universal head light mounts will work with the forks on this bike seeing as they taper toward the top?

The fork tubes don't taper. The fork ears do. Once you remove the ears the fork tubes are straight. The universal mounts will work as long as they fit a 33mm diameter.

If you are getting rid of your tank I'd be interested...

i dont know what i was thinking with the forks i just looked up a pair on ebay and my mind was somewhere else when i was thinking about it. as for the tank im keeping it. its one of my fav tanks and i have in good shape emblems to just have to paint it now

which coils did you get from mikesxs? Prices seem good over there and I know others have used them, but Im just not sure which set.

i got these they are part number 17-6805 the gray ones.

theres a lil how to on how to make them work under the stock tank its super easy

yea thats what i was talking about i couldnt remember if it was here or on hondatwins.

should have updates soon gonna be pulling the motor by weds everything is off just have to find the time to work on it. im helping joe out with a couple bikes so that wil take my after work free time up for a few days
